Tue Mar 4 22:50:49 2025 (*097dfbf6*):: It’s wild that with all the modern tech we still have WW1 style battle tactics. The only thing missing is the chemical warfare. I remember reading about the Iran-Iraq war as a kid and being fascinated that they had what I assumed was archaic trench warfare and here we are 40 years later. Why was this not a big component of WW2 tactics? Any guesses? +public!
